Worship?

Have we taken our experience as God’s children too lightly for what it is worth? We have known about the eternal redemption we have received by Jesus suffering unspeakable horrors on the cross, and how day by day he renews us, building us into His own temple, in which we will live with God forever. Christ Himself is the cornerstone, in which the entire building was laid out from the exact measurements of Christ’s perfect and sinless life. We are so blessed by God to be able to come to God with our petitions and the assurance of God’s attentive ears is such an amazing concept, one that we cannot and will not understand. God’s love is perfect; it is worth out whole being. Jesus Himself says that we cannot be His disciples without taking up our crosses, and essentially abandoning ourselves for His glory.
Yet, far too often we forget about our ties with this eternal love, and accept Jesus as a “Sunday” thing. Our lives do not revolve around such an idea as constant worship. Sometimes we have a rare glimpse into a worship concert, in which people seem to be transformed from their normal conservative “I am too cool for this” attitude. People raise their hands, they sing, they cry, but what is that accomplishing?
The truth is, the act is worth nothing if the heart does not see God’s greatness, and accept God as the only thing that can satisfy the soul. Is essence, worship is a by-product of experiencing God. Worship can be silent, it can be loud, and it can be experienced in the middle of the DMV, School, or a concert, like stated above.  As you go into your day to day life, allow God into your soul, be quiet, consciously seek God and quiet the soul. How can you expect to hear God when you overflow your head with music and tv? It’s an easy answer really: you can’t!
God is so holy, that the angels are constantly crying out: “Holy Holy Holy!” They cannot even step on the ground around God, it is so holy. Yet we are invited to that ground that trembles at His presence, and He wants a relationship with you!
I challenge you to reconsider the way you look at Jesus, look at Him in heavenly light, and let Him into your soul. Worship Him from your innermost being, allowing your soul to find sanctuary in His love. Go out, Christians, love God and experience Him. It is worth it all, and you will see that it is worth your whole life.
