So...What Is The Reason Anyway?

I'm sure that everyone is beginning to notice the Christmas season approaching. Gifts being bought, trees going up in houses, lights neatly outlining otherwise dark silhouettes on suburban streets. We all hear those classic Christmas songs and carols, but I don't think that we all really know the reason for the season. I don't mean just knowing that Jesus was born, but know Him as their Savior. About 76% of the American population states that they are Christian, while only about 40% say they attend regular church services. That leaves us with about 36% of Americans that probably only go to Christmas services. Now this is a question only you can answer to yourself, because you won't lie to yourself...do you read your Bible? **Sidenote: A friend of mine and myself are doing a 30 minute challenge where we read our bibles 30 minutes a day, every day, and we have come to the conclusion that it is the best way to hear God in your life is through His word, after all it is HIS word.**  So I guess the question I am trying to ask is: are you prepared, to at any time of the day or night, ready to advance God's Kingdom. He is the reason for the season, and we are to spread that joy.
