Are You Waiting...Or Being Lazy?
I think its safe to say that we as teenagers are a lazy generation. I mean when parents tell stories its hard for some kids to believe that kids actually used to play outside. Now the only things kids do now is sit inside and play video games or watch TV. Why? Because lets face it...it's easy. Now lets look at it another way. In the Bible we are to 'Wait' upon the Lord, but I'm here to tell you that there is a huge difference between waiting on the Lord and being lazy on the Lord. Waiting can be eagerly waiting such as waiting to hear if you got the job or news from the doctor, or there is waiting like waiting for a table at a restaurant. Visualize each scenario. You are waiting on the edge of your seat, ready to dart up as soon as possible, or you are lounging around not really alert to the world around you. Psalm 27:14 says "Wait for the Lord, be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord" Now from what I see in this verse it sounds more like we should be eagerly waiting on God, studying His word and praying to Him without ceasing. Proverbs 10:4 says "Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth." So now my question for you is: What are you waiting for? GO and be diligent, be ready for God and His blessings will pour from heaven for you.
