I don't know where many of you live, nor do I know if you are even reading these posts. But I can tell you that waking up to snow is one of the coolest things that you will ever see, and it all comes from one hand-God's hand. I was thinking about the story of Job (pronounced Jobe, don't make the same mistake I did) and how he is put to the test because of how righteous he is and how much faith he has in our God. For those of you who do not know this story, God allows the Devil to put Job to the test, showing how faithful he really is to God. But Job loses his family, his home, and all of his possessions to thieves and natural disasters. In the aftermath He is still faithful that this is what God's plan is for him, and over a lot of grieving and faithfulness, God talks to Job. Saying how awesome He is with the unseen and the things not thought about that only God can orchestrate. God asks Job: "Were you there when I laid the foundation of the Earth? Tell Me if you understand...Have you ever given orders to the morning, or show the dawn its place?...Have you entered the storehouses of snow, or seen the storehouses of hail?" (Job 38) Now I encourage you to go take a look at this story, Job 38-40, because when we are dealing with anxiety or worrying about things we can't control, read through these and ask yourself after each question: Can I do this? No. So why try and take up God's place, when we are really all dependent on His will, with as much power as He has? I'll tell you what we SHOULD do...we should let God do His will, no holding back, because the same God who sent His only Son to die for us, is the same God who has this much unlimited power at His fingertips. He will bring you through it. The point of Christianity isn't complacency, its being just uncomfortable enough to make a change in this world for God. So how great is our God? You tell me.
I think He is the Greatest think ever.
