What's Your Accent?
Whether we know it or not, we all have accents. We all say different words different ways, whether its "y'all" or calling the water fountain the "bubbler" or saying sorry "soarey" we all communicate different ways. But the real question to ask is: "Is the Word of God my accent?" Now don't just give up on this- what I am talking about is how often do you spread the love of Jesus with those around you? And how often do your public actions represent your faith? I had friends that went to a very trendy restaurant and decided that they would pray before their meal-just a group of 4 teenage girls-and when this not-so-audacious act of faith was seen, nearly the whole restaurant stood still. The way that we as teens (and adults) of faith act in public can make the world of difference to someone, whether it is encouraging others to stand up and stand out or change the course of their lives can be in the simple bowing of your head before eating your Panda Express in the mall. Also we need to show love in all we do, keep back from the cutting remarks and "preserve the moment" for God. Overall, we can change the world, by simply making what Jesus talked about our dialogue and our way of thinking. Go out and change the world!
